Did the guide crack or what? thats crazy dropping a valve like that and not really beating on it.

oh and remember, the cylinder order in pic 3 is 4321

 

well i had just installed a new chip w/ 4krpm launch and 8.5krpm rev limit. I made one run through 3rd hetting the rev limiter, then stopped. The engine was making a wierd ticking sound, so I did it again. But that time it dropped it right off revlimiter. Sounded like when I dropped a fork in the garbage disposal. Engine shut down right away, so I tried ot pop start it a couple times. Was N/A at the time.

I love that launch control, ---- yeah.

I'm actually happy, I got to take the car off the road for a full suspension rebuild and I'm building a much tougher engine to put in.

I had a similar thing happen to a guys car I did a swap for. 95k motor runnin fine and drivin up a hill then bam dropped a valve destroyed the motor. Wierd.
