Ok so my computer was and still is a huge POS so i had someone delete everything off it and start over, so now the only thing i have on my computer is Windows 98. My problem is the screen looks like ----, I was told i needed drivers?? or something but i download them and they dont work so how do i fix this??

we need more info. right click on the screen, go to prop[erties, and go to a tab that says something along the lines of desktop or something. the one where you can change your background. in that window you can change your resolutiona nd have it not look like poop poo.

 

I just got done wiping out my entire computer about 10 min. ago. What a difference it made. I lost about 5000 mp3's though. Didn't feel like burning them

 

I go to the Control Panel then to display and the settings but it shows only 16 colors i think its supose to be 32 My screen was normal before we deleted it all

 

Any other ideas guys? Im not a computer guy and dont have a clue about this

Just sounds like a basic driver problem, look up the model of your monitor online w/ your OS and download it/install/reboot

 

you have to know what kind of video card you have. then you go to the manufacturers website, download the drivers, install them, and you can change your colour depth and resolution.

 

take a screen shot and post it, thats the only way we can tell what your trying to say. 16 bit and 32 bit dont do that much, only wit shading and ---- like that, but its not important. unless your a picky sob and want it perfect.
