I have some brand new Lucas 440cc injectors (didn't feel comfortable with used dsm's) and am doing a whole brand new build. What kinda power can these handle? I am looking for around 300whp. Do I need to upgrade or no?

 

gf's car made 348whp on dsm 450's, I made 306whp on some dsm 450's.. I'd so your ok to 300whp, they are not rated for that but it works.

Oh ya, finding a gf that loves boost is a hard find and a keeper.

jw if you guys have ever pulled your idc's with the 440s I'm just curious what they are with over 300whp

 

to measure the maximum HP you can use for said injector at 43psi fuel pressure 90%duty cycle:

size of injector (cc)/5 = HP per cylinder

so

450/5=90hp per cylinder

360hp

cant remember whether thats whp or at the crank
