I searched on how to take it off the flange... Supposedly I need to use "snap ring pliers" to remove the inner snap ring ( "C" shaped)... I don't have these and I don't really feel like buying them either. Anyone know any other tool that I'll probably have lying around my garage that I could use.

 

hate to say it but you are going to have to get the snap ring pliers...they're only like $6. the hks is a pain in the *** to get off.

 

you can try needle nose pliers but you might as well fork a couple bucks to get a snap ring plier to make life easier

yah those are a pain.. and imagine this.. i have a snap ring holding my compressor housing on my turbo!! its friggin huge and thick!! and lucky me, i have to rotate it

gee i can't wait

 

the goal now is to give up before I start and hope someone buys the piping along with the BOV, so I never have to separate them.
