Hondata?
I have a stock 95 civic w/D16Z6 soon to be boosted. It's my daily driver so I need it to run as well as a turbocharged car can. After doing a ---- load or research on the Internet I came to hondata. That leaves me with either the s100 or s200. I don't plan on building my motor and I plan on running 8-11 psi max. I don’t know enough yet to tune it myself and I really don’t have the need for all the extra goodies the s200 has.
From what I was reading on hondata.com the s100 fits inside your ECU and all I need to do is send them my ECU and they will install the s100 chip and send that back to me with a base fuel map so I can drive it to the shop and have it dyno tuned? The s100 is $445 w/boost and I am guessing dyno tuning will be a couple hundred bucks so I am looking at about $750 for everything? (not including injectors or fuel pump)
My question is should I get the s100? Or pay the extra $50 and get the s200? Please don't say read hondata.com because I go there daily. I just got into turbocharging about 8 months ago and I only know what I have read off the Internet so if there is any info or suggestions you guys that have dealt with hondata can give me that would be great.

Pat, you have some alternatives to Hondata, but since you asked about Hondata...
It's a good solid product (except for the Xtronics Pocket Programmer joke in the 4b). I've played around with (have one lent to me currently) the old 4b which is for all intents and purposes the same thing with an external interface box.
It's not a bad deal, because you get dyno tuning in with the deal. If you look for the post by Todd about the B18C Civic running his manifold and Hondata S100, the guy was making 210 whp untuned and 250 whp once tuned... while you won't have such dramatic increases since it's a D-series you will have significant increases and you will know it runs really really well and be reliable.

Well what other stand alone engine management alternatives are there similar to hondata s100 around the same price? I thought most stand alone systems were over $1000. I have read a little about aem ems, but that's like $1500. The only reason I am leaning towards hondata is because I have read about how reliable it is and the price seems to be pretty decent.
