will any old laptop have a usb port and a spot to plug in the printer cable to use a willem burner, i found some "refurbished" ibm junkers on ebay for $200 and they have a cd drive and usb port for sure but how will i know if it has the spot to plug in the printer cable, or do they all have them

 

will my stock crx si fuel pump be able to keep up on 8 psi with dsm 450's or will i need an upgrade? 190? 255?

i merged your laptop question into this thread since its not really EM related

stock fuel pump should be fine...not a bad idea to upgrade at some point though...it is an old pump

Id recommend finding a laptop with both a serial and parallel ports. You should be able to find one that has USB as well, but if you cant, USB PCICMA (or whatever) cards are reasonable....

Most all laptops that I have seen all come with the parallel printer port on them.

 

Yup, Chris has some good advice there. I picked up an "older" laptop and didn't realize it had no USB ports until I got it. So I've been using the PCMI USB cards for digi cams or whatever. It did give me problems with dataloging though... But using the computers serial ports works perfect for that.
