I just got the enhanced, but I am having trouble getting it to connect.

I plug it in (USB) then try the "Test Hardware" Function, and get the error "Hardware Error : Check Power and Connection" but the VDD light is on, which should indicate it is getting power.

basically it says its not hooked up right, but it's just a USB cable, what can be wrong?

Which burner is it? I thought the enhanced also required another cable, besides the USB?

the usb is power only. it passes zero data.

your paralell cable is what transfers data.

make sure you read the pdf's on the cd and set all the jumpers, then when you go to burn a bin, choose the chip type, and make sure the dip switches match what you see on the screen after you choose the chip type.

 

i just got the same one, it says the usb must be connected and theserial cable

 

I gave up on that willem ----, moates all the way.
