Default Lowering wastegate pressure

Does anyone know how to lower the wastegare pressure on a stock Eclipse 14b fo about 5 psi?

I am throwing one on a 6G73 three liter V6 and I woould like to start out around 5 psi for rough initial tuning. Thanks in advance for the replys.

Also, I know this turbo will be too small for this application, it's mainly going to be for my fab up, then I am throwing a 20g on it.

so you're going to tune the 14b then install the 20g? why not install the 20g first?

Because I don't have the 20G yet, and I will be using the same actuator on the 20G.

LOL,

Unfortunatly, when I am at the strip, I don't have time to watch the boost gauge the whole way down the track....

You can either cut then thread the WG shaft, use a coupler to join the end's back together. That will make it adjustable.
Or use spacers to move the WG mount. It does'nt matter how you do it as long as you loosen the WG spring tention on the flapper.

Thanks all!

I didn't look there because a topic like this was supposed to be in the forced induction section.

I also learned that you can put a spring on the wastegate arm and fasten it so that it is trying to pull the wastegate open.

In case anyone else was keeping up with this.
