unknown garrett turbo
I was given a turbo however Im not sure of its specs.
The writing on it reads:
M35 B.C.C. GARRETT then in a small raised circle is has a
G with a 45 under it. Inside the exhaust inlet or out (im not sure which) it has the number 42.
As you can tell im new to all of this and if you could tell me what all that means and if this is a suitable turbo for a d16y7 with vtec. Also how much boost could it support and any other info you might have would help me out a bunch.

Can you post pics? If I can see it I can identify it, no problem. Also there should be a tag on the bottom of the compressor housing, about 1/4 inch by 1 inch, usually green or red with a model number, it should read TBO344,TBO339 or TBRO326 something like that.
