Default what do I need to run a safe 8psi?

I have a 12:1 fmu, FMIC, BOV; however I have stock internals on a D16Z6 with 85,000. I want to run 8psi without the worry of grenading my engine. If it's not possible, then cool, but if I can, then show me the way.

I want to know because I don't want to spend all of this money on making my car faster when a stock B-16 wil still kick my *** when I'm at 6psi

well a ZC and a Z6 have simular power and my turbo ZC would kick a B16's *** easy. dont give up hope (but it might be better to start with a B16 and turbo that, sold my ZC to go that route)...

but then again if the B16a had a turbo and stock internals. And the ZC and Z6 had a turbo with stock internals. Guess who win? B16a.... well depends on the turbo of course.

I think beau ran the same 1/4 mile time NA in his B16a than you did with your turbo ZC dustin :P

He was also on street tires, not to mention Jims B16a could walk all over your old Turbo ZC

lemme guess, those b16's are built huh?

i'm not as familiar with crx's, but I know when it comes to eg hatches, a turbo d16(even at 6psi) will walk a b16
and besides, if you took two people, and gavem enough money each for a b16 swap, but one chose to turbo his d16,
the d16 would come out waaayyy better!

Both B16's were practically stock...

Beaus didnt even have a header, Just Intake and Exhaust w/ a PR3 ecu. 14.0 @ 98.0 mph

Jims was a bit more modified, ACT Clutch/Factory LSD and he used large slicks.. Factory air box!
13.7 @ 99.9mph

So, would it be safe to run 8psi with stock internals or is it pushing it a little bit?

would bigger injectors be necessary?
Or are we talking Z-dyne gold, new clutch and selling kids on the black market.

Basically, should I be satisfied with the 6psi until I build my engine up?
Thanks,
Gauge Gaiden
