Default Wastegate Spring. Does it matter if you run a MBC?

Ive found no info on the first 10 pages on this question (search doesnt seem to be working)

But say I was to run 16 psi on my D16. Will always be 16+ psi, does it matter if I buy a wastegate with a 10pound spring? does it matter how high you go if your gonna run a manual boost controller?

Because the MSC would control the boost level right?

Im really lost on that part on how boost levels are controlled,

Any info on this is greatly apprecaited

Yep that will work. You just cannot go BELOW the spring psi rating only up. 16psi on a 10lb spring is just fine.

Now what I'm wondering is...why would someone who hopefully has a built engine to handle those boost levels, need to ask such a question ^_-

my engine is still stock other than some DIY porting and free mods

Ive got $4,200 or so to either buy a nice EK keep them stock for a while.

Or go ***** out on a sohc, just wanna know how everything works

How exactly do manual boost controller control the boost?

I cant find anything on how there installed either

And its just a dial **** or something you mount in your engine bay?

I think I read that they have to stay in the engine bay

Thanks for your help though

So it basically just regulates vacuum going to the wastegate? (didnt know the wastegate needed vaccum, I guess thats how it knows when to open)

Dam this ***** complicated

it regulates the BOOST going to the WG. the WG operates on boost pressure, not vac. The BOV opperates on VAC.
