Default Tial Wastegate / T3 turbo?

Well my friend bought a tial wastegate and a t3 turbo .60/.48 which is perfect for my setup which is going on an integra ls, with the stock b18b motor in it.

Now for 300 which is a great price, I can get this turbo plus the tial wastegate. Now I do not think the turbo is a t3/t4 but that is what the guy at the shop said. I'm thinking it is a straight t3 but don't know, any ways to tell?

Now the fan has side to side play, but not much, I'm not sure exactly how to tell if the shaft play is all that bad, but I know that very little shaft play is normal, and it surely has some. The guy that use to own the turbo said it was only used for about 1,000-2,000 miles. It use to be on a Volkswagen.

Now the guy at the shop also didn't know how many mm the Tial wastegate was, but I can just measure the opening on the flange right?

Also what about the spring inside the tial wastegate, is there anyway to know what bar spring is in there besides probably having to open it up and checking it? I really don't want to do it because I don't want to screw it up. Or anyway of telling if it works without mounting it of course?

For 300 in working condition, this is a killer deal, but I just want to make sure everything is in working condition.

The only thing I can probably do is take it to a shop and probably have them look at it right? Unless someone in NJ could take a look at it?

Thanks.

You can ust measure the opening on teh WG. Just pull teh spring on teh WG, it isn't that bad.

I wound't drop any money on that turbo though. in and out shaft play is a never, and side to side is not good. The turbo will tighten up when it is warm, but not a lot.

Side to side play is ok as long as it's minimal....like less then a mm. Only way of telling the boost setting on the wg is by opening it and looking at what color spring it is. Since you don't want to open it then just run it and see what the boost gauge says. :P

LOL. Yeah I just didn't want to open the wastegate and ---- anything up inside, but will probably try it.

For the turbo, I guess the only way for me to really know if the turbo is good or not, is mount it, and if it blows, then I know it wasn't good :P.

But I guess I'll just take it to a shop and see what they say. They might say it is good, just so they can be like ohh yeah come install it here, lol, but thats where their wrong, some shops are full of scumbags around my area. They have huge heads, and are cocky. Sorry if I offended any shop owners/workers. Thanks guys.

I will try and see if one of my friends has a digi cam I can borrow.

I will try and get a hold of the turbo, and let you know. Thanks.

Edit: I'm still looking if anyone is up to install my turbo and all the parts in Jersey next spring/summer for a fee. Thaks guys.
