confused with water lines and boost gauge

Default confused with water lines and boost gauge

ok i did the search but couldnt find what i was looking for. i have a 95 honda civic dx... i need a water line... what should i use... on my intake manifold i only see like 3 lines... i see the one from the fpr to the intake then another one beside that and they are vacuum lines arent they? i see the on on the back side of the intake manifold it runs to the firewall... i think that one is it.. amm i right
now for the boost guage since its mechanical i have to run a vaccumm line all the way from the gauge pod to the vacuum source correct? where did you take your line throught the firewall?? i only see one place on the passanger side and i have like a gazillion going through there for powerdoorlocks alarm sound system and so on.. any help pleeze thatnks Brian

I'm not sure about the 95 Civic, but in my 90 REX I got my water from the BACK of the intake (and on the underside). It's a line that drops down and goes into the engine. There were two of them but it's the one located on the drivers side...and I made a loop to the turbo, and back to the engine where that line originally went. I'm not sure if it's the same in your case.... I've heard mixed words on this. I've even heard of using a T for the water supply on newer civics, etc... but don't listen to me cause I don't know the facts in this case.

You're right about the boost gauge, but I would use that nylon tube stuff (very strong and very small) works perfect for boost gague. I drilled a VERY small hole in the firewall on the drivers side (very high above booster) for the line to run through. Put something (rubber, etc) around the nylon tube where it will sit in the hole you drilled. This will prevent the sharp metal from eating at the nylon causing a leak or break over time.
