I just bought a turbo from someone and was trying to figure out what type of turbo it is. I know it is a Garrett Airesearch and it has an internal wastegate on it. I know this may be a dumb question, but was just hoping maybe someone would be able to help. Thanks

Oh yea. This is what is on the plate of the turbo housing.

Sorry i don't have a digital camera anymore to take pics, but on the housing plate it says
Factory Overhauled Turbocharger
S/N VEM0005
P/N 466032-9002

 

it's wantboost from h-t, i'll paste what i found here for ya too. well it looks like it's off of a volvo, either a 2.3L 740, 760, 760GLE, 760 TURBO. the turbo model is a tb0326.

yea, now the gods of hmt can help identify what the turbo actually is. where have art numbers and the car it came on.

 

T3 .48/42? does it say anything on the exhaust/compressor housing?

how big is it? measure the compressor housing from top to bottom and the exhaust housing and post up the measurements.

 

It should have a marking like this and should have a 4 bolt inlet with a circular indent.....if I had my digi cam I'd take more picks of my .48 volvo housing but this is all I got.
