Default oil filter

i've read somewhere that stock filter will flow 10 gpm, and b16 on 7000 rpms needs about 17 gpm. i just boughtoil filter for my honda legend 92 coupe, and it seems similar but larger. does some1 know will it fit and will it work good on b16?

I would just use the b16 filter. I don't know where you got the specs, but i think honda knows what they are doing and i'd stick with the correct filter for the motor.

when oil filter cant handle oil flow it opens and unfiltered oil will come into engine. that is bad. i just think that legends filter can flow more than civics.

I dont think honda would design a system that would starve the motor for oil.. get a delsol vtec oil filter and be done w/ it

larger = lower psi too dont forget.

Why is this even a question. Trust honda, they built the thing. If you read the oil flow specs officially from Honda, then sure change the filter, but then it would be a service bulliten.
