in my class we are working on a "virgin" 2.2 accord engine w/ over 200000 miles on it.. we took out the pistons tonight and the Cylinder bores are fricking perfect. little bit of normal piston slap wear on the piston. and it had some good blow by. but that frickin engine is insanly clean!!! just thought id share, im very impressed...

 

they are pretty though engine... my uncle has a accord 90 ex-r with 300'000miles on stock his engine and tranny is still smooth... did only change clutch at 250'000mile!!!

yeah theyre pretty stout... i just dont F22s when the seize the oil control ring in the land so it doesnt move and then drinks oil like crazy... 1qt/200mi

 

you can see on the pistons where it has some blow by, and there was quit abit of carbon.. but ----, with more then 2 what can we expect? i bet new rings and that thing would be kick ***.. my teacher said when he got it, they did a comp. test and every cyl. tester at over 150 psi... like i said, i got alot more respect for hondas now!!
