would anyone here consider a showcar rice?

i plan on turning my 99 civic dx into a bad *** showcar.
i plan on totally modifying the exterior and probably interior to look like something that came out of an aliens movie. i totally love H.R. Gigers artwork and i am a pretty damn good artist myself.

i was just wondering if anyone here considered showcars rice. it wont hurt my feelings if you think my idea is dumb, id just like some imput.

 

i think that if it doesnt have the power to back up its good looks than its rice. Ive seen many "show cars" that are either automatics or have wimpy/no engine mods and are either as slow or slower than stock. Build a homemade turbo kit in that car (even if it is a D16) and have some fun with it...

I don't think it's a good idea, once you go all crazy you can't no longer drive it daily for fear of paint chips, dents and so on. It wouldn't be so bad if you have all the speed to back it up. I would build a show car that run high 10s IF i was filthy rich.

IMO modifications that do not add to the car's performance=rice. BUT... you can't really call a one-off "aliens style" interior/exterior rice, can you? More like, "art"?

 

i would have to agree.... but as always cars are ment to be driven, if you dont drive it your a homo (unless of course its broken )

 

the guy with his orange paint job and bling *** 17's was pretty upset he was smoked by too stock looking cars yesterday ...so i dont know ....spending all that money on paint and wheels to make you look dumsb and slow is, well...RICE!

 

yeah if youre gonna build a car youre never gonna drive (or drive really slow) what is the point... youre gonna want to have fun with it. Besides it gets more respect to go fast then to just be rice
