Default honda cup?

thought some of you so-cal people might want to check this out. SCCA has a new sanction out similar to the NASA honda-challenge, except its pretty much all or nothing. this section of SCCA is still in the "trial period" so if you wanna get out there and show some support, maybe it can become a national wide thing.

www.honda-cup.com

its a really bare web site, but the rules, and schedual are up there isnt that really all thats needed? (plus its still in the trial period)

some up sides to the competition, its a all honda competition, pretty much unrestricted the way I understand it.

down sides, its going to take alot of $$ to really compete. alot of it.

I thought maybe some of you so cal people might want to hop on this...check it out.

BTW, unless you can find a "track day" you have to be liscensed or endorsed to race.

also, this is only in so-cal right now. once it ------s, i think its going to be like the world challenge.

I wish i was in so-cal.

edit:
if you would ever dream of driving in this competition, this is what you will need IMO

It would be a lot of fun to do, you could find a cheap ef chassis, put a b16 with some ctr pistons and misc. bolt ons in it, get a pretty nice set of coilovers(tein, jic, etc), some cheap lightweight wheels, and other misc. parts such as saftey equipment. it could probably be done for around $6k

its much easier to start with a car already prepped/with log book than a car from scratch...

Man that would be nice to just drop $4k on a car and be ready to drive into an SCCA event. With that little modification you could get into a class that wouldn't have insane drivers either, you could actually compete.

bullshit. In the scca you have to become lisenced before you can race compete. to obtain your license you must first take 2 HPDE (High Performance Driving Events) classes.

I could go into detail on how this ---- works....if you want.
