Default Modified SS Autochrome Mani any good?

I've seen a few braced SS Autochrome manifolds either on people's cars or for sale. Does anyone have experience with something like this? I don't know exactly what people do to these to make them supposedly not break, but I'm curious what people are doing and how well it's working.

those manifolds break cause they have too much weight for the thickness of the material they're made of. i've seen them braced and the owner of one of them (projecteg)said his held up with no problems after bracing. it isn't the pressure of the exhaust inside that breaks them but the lack of weight support (turbo, downpipe, ext. w/g weight) if i was building a kit i'd buy one, they're inexpensive, and i'd brace it up.

Well, i read that post. Thanks for finding it for me, sorry for not searching. I think i can get an ssautochrome mani for $10. It's already broken about everywhere once and is all rewelded. I figure it's worth a try. It would be nice to hear some experience from those who have tried braced ssautochrome manifolds though.

I have one currently and so far its holding. I only got it bc i needed a manifold soon. I plan on ditching bc it sux, and its already ugly. Its small inside too. Personally I hate it b/c of the Wastegate clearance. My radiator is just hangin there because of the way they made the wastegate stick out.
