what wire do i tap into for my fuel pump kill switch....this is on a 91 dx hatch. thanks

 

You can tap into the power line that runs to the pump. The clip is in the same place as the fuel level sender line, located underneath the rear seat. Or you can simply find the line by the fuse box and put a switch on that line.

I want to say yellow w/ blue stripe, but I'm at work right now, not in my car looking. I'll check when I get home, since wiring the new fuel pump is on my list for tonite...

It doesnt matter wich of the two you tap in to.Its better to break the negative but not necessary.

 

FYI....I traced my wire via a Haynes book.

it's yellow with black stripe, as are most power wires in my experience, at least that's how it is on my 88 dx hatch. my switch is in the hottest ------- space in existence, yet I can't say where because the next thing I know people will start hitting my switches while I'm sleeping. but holy ---- I smile at myself everytime I think of how smart I am to have put my switch where I did.
