Default In need of some help

okay here it is I have a z6 that I wanna build for boost but am poor I heard you can use b18a rods in this block but I was wonderin if you have to notch the block or not heard alot of different things on this and was lookin to see if I could get a straight answer thanx

There is a ton of info if you use the search function. You can use B18 rods, but if you are gonna tear ot down, why not just use something a little more bulletproof.

Yes, when you use LS rods (or any aftermarket rods) you need to notch the block. It's very easy to do. Here is a good link with that info.

thanx man that help I aslo heard alot of people talkin about shimming the oil pump how to you do that?

Shimming the oil pump? not sure about that one, nor why you'd need to. I know the y7/y8 oil pumps suck and most people port them out, but I don't think you have anything to worry about with a z6.

Are you sure you have to notch the block with LS rods? I didn't think you had to......

You don't need to notch the block with Crower I beam rods in a D series.

I had to notch my block with Crower I beams (on the zc)
