The conversion from Auto to manual is pretty trivial. It's just removing 2 parts and putting in a jumper.

 

I'm interested, but I don't quite inderstand the picture. Is the chip mounted on the outside or something? And is it a DIP socket?

 

No, its inside... Thats just the extra chip laying on the static bag ontop of the ECU. As far as if its a DIP socket... No idea, im not knowing in all things chipping...er chipped....uh chippy.. Whatever, you know what I mean.
