Default do i really need it?

do i really need fuel management if i just run bout 5 pounds of boost? i just want to get the turbo on an then get better fuel management later. most likely get a obd2-obd1 and run uber data. thanks

yes you need atleast a adjustable fuel pressure regulartor at a bare minimum.

I can almost gaurantee the first time you hit boost you engine will take a ---- .....at least get a fmu or something.

well, if you're intercooled, run 93 oct. gas, retard you timing all the way at the dizzy, unplug your coolant temp sensor and hand an extra one off the plug in the engine bay, you can run 5 psi on the stock injectors and still run pretty rich. i don't suggest doing this for a long time at all or beating on the car like this, it's just enough to get by, but stay out of boost as much as possible.

an fmu, but don't waste the money, just wait and do it right the first time. i can sell you a chipped obd1 ecu if you're interested.
