Well... I'm still kinda upside-down on the POS... The car is dead slow...

I'm thinking about slapping a HMT on it... Fuel manigment is the biggest problem ( no RRFPR or FMU )...

Basiclly $150 manifold
$150 turbo
$60 lines and IC piping ( $160 if I use mandral bends )
I have 14 ICs at my house, one of them is good for 6psi I'm sure...
Tranny cooler $80
$5 volvo BOV ( maybe free 1.8t GTi bov )
$100 misc. stuff...

Maybe with 6psi it might break into the 16's...

 

my buddy is coming back from college @ xmas and we are going to boost his zx2...

planning on either a AFC hack or FMU for management...

pretty simple...

add in $50 for a downpipe and $20 for couplers, etc

 

if you don't want an FMU you could try something like Megasquirt, add one or two extra injectors.

any car is worth boosting
I think my car did high 18's when it was stock, now it runs 15's, even with much bigger tires than stock.

I think it would be a fun different project. I kinda like how some of those look. It woul probably hold some decent amount of boost.

Dont you need an oil sump system because of how low the turbo has to sit in the car?
