as the subject says. Thinking of buying one. 2002-ish. V6, 4x4... non supercharged. Any pros/cons I should know about?

 

I have two friends who have them. One silver, one black, IMO I like the black better. One also got the "extreme" interior package(seat covers and ----)...a waste of money if you ask me.

 

I heard they are gutless as all hell(even the supercharger version). I rode in a Nissan truck with the big V6 in it and I was NOT impressed. Those things are turds. Obviously you aren't going to be drag racing in it and you're looking for more of a daily driver, but I need some ***** in my ride. I like the looks of them, but if we were to compare vehicles in the same class, the 4Runner is a huge step up from the Xterra.

i've got an 01, i like it. low hp, but pretty good tq. mine's only 2wd, but gets the job done, here ya go

 

Yeah, that's the downside. It's only a payment.

No way... i'll be paying cash for this one. Hoping to stay around $13k. I need an suv, period. If anybody has any comparable alternatives to an Xterra, please, chime in. Newer than 2000. I guess I just don't know what's out there. Never bought an suv before.
