Default A/F guage

I have an autometer gauge. How is it supposed to light up to tell how your air/fuel mixture is. I turned it on and all the lights blink up and down but how do you know what you are running? Or did I install it wrong?
Thanks

the lights change alot.. the green lights, or Stoich is where the guage should be reading. Your ECU is constantly adjusting A/F Ratio for best Emissions until you go WOT (pedal to the floor) then it should go rich. until u come off the gas.

the lights will flash and change alot during normal driving. This is normal, the ECU adjust the ratio many times a second.

The green light is for rich, orange is stoich, and red is lean. That's what you meant to say right? Those guages are out of control. Pretty much the only time it will ever come in handy is if you are running way too lean. Otherwise it is very hard to get a steady accurate reading. BTW, I wasn't being a smartass by correcting you man!!!

I guess it depends.. I was just thinking yellow lean green stoich and red rich.. maybe thats the way the Ractive AF guage reads and autometer reads like you said.. either way, should be reading in the middle! LOL

Ahhhh....Thats just me being closed minded as usual. Yeah, I guess it varies from manufacturer. Ha, thanks for the re-recorrection!!
