I called ACT, because we are dealing with a ACT clutch, and here is what they say.

the clutch is comming from a LS tranny going into a 00 si.

89 LS trannys are different from 90-91
but...
a 90 clutch/pressure plate might not work because of the shaft...
a 91 clutch and pressure plate will work with any B series hydro tranny but the bearing will be different.

does that make any sense?

Maybe the '90 gearbox has a different spline count??
I don't think so though...
But hydro tranny's dow have different release bearings then cable tranny's, so you need to change the cable release bearing to a hydro release bearing...
And i think a '89 integra had a D-series in them....B-series came out in '90 and up.

as far as i know, the 90-93 teg's use the ys1 tranny, therefore, i don't see how the 90 could have a different spline count. with that being said, the spline count for all b series 90 and up would have to be the same b/c you can swap a newer hydro tranny on to any older b that came with a cable tranny and vice versa, so the spline count would have to be the same, so the only difference really between the hydro and cable i would think would be the throwout bearing because hydro and cable forks aren't exactly the same?? this is what i've come up with

projekteg, i say go out and find a cable tranny clutch (Ls), and then try to put it on your car(hydro), and find out what works...if it doesnt just sell it or trade it. :P

lol, why the hell would i go through all that trouble to have a cable tranny? i personally like the hydro tranny better than the cables, not to mention, an ls tranny has wayyyy taller gears than my close ratio si tranny. it will work, but you would have to convert hydro to cable, just like the opposite of what you have to do to put a hydro tranny in a cable car
