b18b1 there's a pretty noticable difference in the two, i swapped out a 93 b18a1 for a 97 b18b1 and noticed a pretty good difference.

b18a uses EGR and the b18b doesnt and basically the build from the head up is the difference and its like a 10-15 hp difference sorry about bringing up a dead post but nobody mentioned anything about the egr thought i would let this guy know. peace -mike

the only diff is da head, my cousin swapped the cams

from the B1 into his A1 and he feels the difference.

It mostly the head.
