Default oil light on cold start

Well, I rebuilt my LS motor due to running low on oil and spinning the bearings. I put a b16 oil pump in and i'm running all the LS gear except it's got a gsr oil pan now.

Problem is, on cold starts the oil light stays on for 3-4 seconds instead of a split second. It's like the oil is draining back to the oil pan over night and it has to run for a bit on a cold start to get the oil flowing again. I'm just worried that this is going to end up costing me more bearings and another rebuild (which I really don't want to do!).

It's doing it n/a and with the turbo kit, so I know it's not the turbo lines. I thought that when I put the gsr pan on it, it got better, but now i'm not so sure. I'm running an oem honda filter.

You guys have any ideas?!

They are, but for some reason this gsr pan fit no problem with the ls windage tray and oil pick up.

3 to 4 sec everytime when u start is A LOT.

i`ve compare both before, i think GSR has a different shaped/depth pan..

i`d try to add like half bottle more oil see if it helps. (or a bottle may be?)
if it helps that means the pick up is not picking up enough oil with the pan.

have you checked the difference in length/shape of the 2 oil pickups. usually you match the pickup with the pan.

I checked the lenght of the oil pick ups, and they seem to sit the same depth in the pan. The only difference is the feet on the gsr pick up, they're shorter because they sit on the gsr block girdle which the ls doesn't have.

Keep in mind, it was doing the same thing using the LS pan.

what kind of oil filter are u runnign because some cheep filters dont have a anti return valve and your pump needs to fill up the filter before the motor will get oil
