My car ocasionaly "coughs" when under WOT and the wastegate opens, it feels kinda like it stutters, almost like a missfire. Is there any way my stock plugs arnt sparking when under the ignition retard and full throttle? I am using stock NKG plugs and stock wires, so would it be a good idea to pick up some better wires to fix the problem if that is infact the situation?

 

Stock wires are good. Try using a smaller gap on your plugs.

 

my car did the same thing but it was my fuel pump. stock pump on 10psi uberdata

 

Try some colder plugs. I had a similar prob and picked up some zfr6f11's. I also gapped them down to 0.03.

 

Eeeee, but if its the fuel pump then thats a really bad thing.

 

I agree with the spark plug gap, like i've heard from someone out there, boost could be "blowing out the spark". Gap it smaller and see if that helps.

 

Mine broke up real bad up top so I got a new set of plugs and regapped smaller and it was great.

 

.03 the smallest spark plug gapper i've seen is .10, maybe you meant .30 but yeah, like they're saying, try gapping your plugs at about .28-.30, i was having the same problem and this fixed it.
