Default B20 crx????

how well will this motor(b20) REALLY work in my 90 dx?
what kind of wheel horsepower/torque should i expect in stock form?
is it worth the time + money of installing?
what bolt-on aftermarket goodies are there available for this application?

I was driving a B20CRX about 3 months ago, my fastest time was a 14.3 qtr mile on junkyard, no name tires spinning about half way down the track.

what was done to it,
B20
LS tranny
LS intake mani
LS ecu
ebay intake, header, exhaust.

abaz, the site creator says a B20 is nothing more than a B18 bored. the cyl walls are thin -to thin to boost with. they crack from the inside out, so a block guard, or sleeves wont help any.

for an all motor application, i would be all about a B20. for boost

In my opinion, B20 gets a thumb down.

We just dyno'ed my friends B20B/B18C1 combo.

JE Pistons 12:1 CR
Eagle Rods
Stock Sleeves
ITR Cams
RC 370cc Injectors

177whp, not too impressive considering my turboD put down 188whp with cooked rings and tons of blowby. Personally I'd rather boost a B18C1

everyone seems to have the opinion that if you're going all motor, b20 is better obviously becuase of the displacement.

if you're boosting, ls/vtec or another flavor of the b18 squad is right.

jeff also said that if you plan on sleeving the b20 block it is pointless becuase they will replace them with the stock b series sleeve bore (81mm) down grading it to a 1.8L.

if you want to run n2o/boost then get a ls/vtec

if you're going to be all motor b20

also, the b20 from the earlier preludes i have found are pieces of ---- compaired to the crv b20's

The key to any all motor build is one thing headwork. That b20 w/ a good head would add 25-30 whp.

yes definitely, those b20a's are supposed to be crap. Go b20b or b20z from what I've heard, if you INSIST on going b20 at all.

personally I'd rather do a b18 block, if I were going all-motor, which I will probably NEVER do. Welcome to HMT. Where the T stands for turbo.

I dunno I forgot to ask him.

He is in pretty desperate need of tuning too tho. We're gonna get him on hondata or something and get that thing dialed in.
