Default finishing my turbo setup

ive had this almost complete turbo kit now for like 3 months, i ran out of money, but now i have a little and i just want it on. i have a d15 and so far i have a air reaserch turbo, fmic, wastegate, bov, and a turbo timer. i used to want to go with the afc and injectors but i want to spend as least money as possible. so, i was wondering what all i would need to complete this kit besides an fmu? do i need bigger injectors, do i need a btm? and, what do i do about a downpipe? like where do i find one, or if a machine shop can make one how do they?

well, once your finished with everything you can take your car down to a good muffler shop and have them fabricate a d.p. for your car. also, if you are going to use the fmu you're also gonna need check valves or missing link to prevent ecu from seeing boost. trust me bro, dont go with the fmu, its sucks ***!!! just buy the AFC and 450cc injectors for now and you'll be way happier than with the fmu! do it right the first time, dont use an fmu! then just retard the timing from the distributor and you should be straight. thats how i've been running my setup for about 9 months and havent had any problems so far. but if you want the best...go with turboedit or uberdata for fuel managment.

I'd say to get the bigger injectors and run uberdata with a basemap, it's cheaper and safer that the safc hack...but it might be a little more work...

+1

there are people here who will chip your ecu with a good base map, get some DSM injectors with resitors. you will be happy you did.

this will probably cost a little less in the end and be better.
