just put a 2000 b16 head on a 2000 gsr block and its pouring oil out of the back left corner where the head meets the block did i do anything wrong?? help!!!

 

That blows... as far as I know you should be fine..

you sure it was a B18c? not a B18b right?

 

i going to do the same thing but with a obd0 head let me know how it will be. i just want aliitle more torque. i don't like the idea of drilling thru my head that scares me.

 

1) Did you make sure the Head and BLock were Clean and smooth?

2) Did you use a new head gasket (you should have)

3) Did you check to see if the head was warped..

4) were all the head bolts tq'ed to spec...

 

what head gasket did u use?? (im not sure if that makes a difference)

is oil coming out of a hole or port or just between the head and block where the gasket is?

 

ok well i feel like a ------ idiot!! (by the way not my car) but we were in a rush to do the swap and my freind who owns the car put the head gasket on backwards but we got it all back together and it seems to be running stronger and its going to the track this friday but with the gsr head with some mods like cams msd ignition and a couple of other things it ran a 14.7 on street tires so ill post the new numbers when we get em
