accually hes probably not.
he probably really did spend 25K on that.
look at things this way.
Hes in a military town. so am i. this is my theory....and it has been proven time and time again.
a guy i know has a blue crx which i found for him he paid 2200 for it. -he knew NOTHING ABOUT CARS. i drove it off the car lot because he couldnt drive stick.
then he says he wants a engine swap, so i say go B20.-he wanted all motor.
HE PAID 5400 for a b20, with a LS tranny ls ecu, and ls IM, and full cat back..
then he says he wants a tach. $400 later for a tenzo tach.
then he goes to iraq, comes home with a few extra dollars, now he wants a vtec head. well the car goes to the shop next week for $8000 worth of work.
this is what hes getting...
B16 head, edelbrock IM, (these I can see) a VFAC, and a wideband (no he has no turbo, this is an all motor car) and LSD.
he has paid other people to do all of his work. -i have offered many many times for free. the people in military town will rip the military off any way possible. its sad but true. they will lie to you any way possible if you go to there shops and act dumb. they tried to sell me a IACV for $100 and also told me all si's are vtec. (also a 88-91) yeah.
kevin and i are from the same town. if i were to walk into a local shop and say, hey, how much for a B16swap, they would probably tell me $4000 not installed. if kevin were to walk in there they would probably tell him $2000 out the door. this is no lie.
plain and simple, i believe that this guy has spent close to 25K in this car.
