but i cant find my JB Weld....so im just gonna throw another piston in it...

btw this is out of my LSVTEC turbo... broke TWO rows of the ringlands, dont think i have seen that on anyother pistons posted before? you can see where part of the aluminum has been melted and parts that look freshly broken. pretty sure this was happening at the BOTI even on Aug 28... was heating up at the top end of the track and im sure it was pinging bad... the head gasket also looked like it was letting a little gas slip by ( )... ahh all in fun...gonna beat it just as hard when i put it back together...

oh im gonna be putting ARP rod bolts in....just slap those bitches in or resize the rods and all that bullshit?

Breaking pistons sucks, I'm glad I've never had to replace anything in the bottom end.

Dave usually breaks both as well, 3 of them shown are.

On my crvtec I broke every single piston top/bottom and every sleeve lol..

ahh i just never noticed that before.

anyway i scored an LS shortblock and i pulled out all the pistons from it (trying to find a nice one) to the protest of my roommate that thought i should just throw the whole block in (looked nice, still has crosshatching and ----...should have 103K on it). anyway just threw the bottom end back together. i didnt put the ARP's in for a couple reasons...but ---- it, if it throws a rod cuz the rod bolt breaks i have another block now gonna bolt the head on after i try and solve an oil leak (oil pressure sender i think)...and eat some food....

so we try and put the piston in and it keeps getting hung up...so on like the 5th try the top ring snags and breaks so we grab a ring off another piston and slap that bitch in there. this is after trying to find the right rod cap cuz i missplaced it at this point my roommate, Aaron, is saying he would be suprize if it even gets 180 compression on that cylinder...

so anyway i get the engine all bolted up, oil, coolant, hoses...and of course a little fuel leak (accually little this time) i crank it over. sounds good!..... then it starts leaking oil again! my SS braided oil line was leaking from the connection, after raiding Aaron's AN fitting/line selction im up and running. drive it around and fells nice (only 6psi)... come back and compression test it... 200-205ish on the bad hole

so i will be turning up the boost again as soon as i get my ECU, and find a distributor (OBD1/2 B16A) so i can run Uberdata...
