whats up guys, just joined tonight. i bought a 95 civic ex at the auction the other day in mass for 400$, theft recovery.

I popped the hood and it has a ls motor in it, got lucky! other mods that i noticed were exhaust ,race clutch, and a couple other small things. intake and header are missing, i think it may have been previously turboed.
I was thinking since i own a couple os salvage yards i could do a mint ghetto turbo. But, i have no idea where to start. i have access a pipe bender also.

Where do i start? Can somebody give list of things i could start to collect so that i can get this ls civic turboed for cheap. I dont have ---- into the car, so i dont want to put a lot into the car.

here is a basic parts lists

Turbo
manifold
Oil Lines
Coolant Lines
Wastegate
Downpipe
Charge Lines
Intercooler
Blow off Valve
Factory gaskets
Gauge pod
Boost gauge and air fuel gauge
Some type of fuel managment

Now what you pick is all up to you... I cant tell you just to go get this from that car, and bolt it to this from another car.. Everything is custom on each setup. If you have a specific question reguarding an item go ahead and ask.

i'm a HUGE fan of turboed LS engines...
do it, and run like 7-10 psi, and u'll dust most people that claim to be fast.

 

just read the other posts on this board. you'll find plenty of people in the same boat as you, and you'll learn so much
