hey guys my gramps blew his buick up and is lookin for a car he is a chevy guy i tried 2 talk him into honda but he said no which sucks but he looked at a pontiac grand am with the quad 4 engine which is dohc and is like 180hp what do u guys think opinions will be sweet

 

i hate those motors, i pulled a head off one and it looks like it would be a bitch to work on.... you cant even adjust the idle or timing on them

 

ok thanks becuz he is gonna have 2 change the head gasket was it hard 2 get to the head on it

 

there is about 20+ 10mm bolts you need to take off to get the timing cover off, then the pass motor mount needs to come off... its a bitch.

 

the quad 4 is a shitty *** engine... even for GM

 

Changing the water pump made me cry on the grand am. I still have horrible dreams of having to jack up the whole engine just to remove that POS : (


Ehh quad four nevermind, I'm talking about the 3200 or some ---- v6 engine that made me cry : (

 

did the guy in the avitar hold you hand while you where under the car?lol if i where to buy an american car which i won't i'd buy a 03' ford crown victoria or whatever year is the newest they got. hey it's your grandpa right? that's a nice comfortable reliable car. i'd rock a new crown vic for a daily driver any day.

 

get him to buy a Gran Prix GTP....supercharged funess

 

I would totally love if he got a grand prix gtp but he is sorta just usin this car 2 go back forth 2 work so it isnt a big deal and it is a 1 30 minute drive 2 work so it is just a car 2 go 2 work and home and he is only payin 400 bucks for it
