Do a google search. There is a site that explains it in more detail that anyone here (me) cares to type I have it bookmarked at home, but don't have internet access for another few days.

if you're looking for a cheap alternative to d series forged rods, shot peen some ls rods, that's about as good as you're going to get without paying for forged

LS rods would be better than the D16 rods, and for sure cheaper.

would I have to notch the block...for LS rods into a D16?

I read about notching the block on www.theoldone.com and it seemed like something I could do.

Um, I don't get what you're asking? It's seems pretty self explanitory to me. Does anyone else not get it?

The LS rods weight quite a bit more, you should have the rotating ***. balenced if you switch to them. On the other hand, are you going to make over 220-240whp ? If not, I'd get the Z6 ones shot peened and be done with it.

LS rods weigh more, hense take more power to turn...
