d16a6 turbo or swap in a b18a??
hey there all..i've read through the forums..and didn't find much..i heard jeff say that the d16a6 turbo would be faster than a stock b18a...but..my friend already has a 91 crx si...and he wants to buy my b18a for 300 bux and i'll help him swap it in...since i'm basicaly one of the 3 guys that know how to swap motors in my town..anyway..it's gonna cost him over a grand to swap in the LS..so i figured..i'll teach him a lesson on the homemadeturbo set up...he would basicaly set his d16a6 up with a HF manifold,14b,2 1/4inc inter cooler pipes, 1g bov, starion or tyres intercooler, b&m fuel reg and gauge, boost controller, boost gauge,maybe auto dsm injectors,and an afc and set at about 6-7 psi...would that make him believe a turbo d16a6 would be better and faster than a stock b18a?..help me out...sorry so long...thanks!
have a 89 civ dx with si conversion along with cam, si camshaft, with t3/4 garret turbo running on stock 3 psi boost and can hang wiht my freinds ls vtec.....don't have intercooler, bov, ignition,, fuel and ecu manage ment....I really need clutch to get the hop on secon gear cuzz I cant full throttle the gas....so recomend u turboing....
