Default just a timing question

this just popped in my head.

im currently on the hack( computer id socketed, just awaiting a chip)

my static timing is currently retarted slightly, and feels sluggish until, i enter boost

i was thinking that once i start using uberdata, whould it be safe to advance the timing at the dizzy and then use uberdata to bring it back to "stock" timing once i reach full boost.

ill only be on 8psi, i think thats safe on stocking timing.

does this make any sense, or am i a jackass?

btw, its a jdm d15b, 14b turbo, 8 psi, p28 computer soon to be uberdata

The hack is a good tool for ------- up your timing. You should set your timing to stock when you get Uberdata running and incorporate a certain degree of retard per psi into the timing.

Yup, set it to stock timing.

Better yet, match it exactly to your maps w/ a dial back light.

I like to do my maps like this while setting the dizzy. This ensures that your timing matches your maps exactly.

Make sure the engine is fully warmed, as the ECU adds timing during cold start/warm up.

Dave
