Default Can someone end this debate for me once and for all?

Ok, i'm getting my manifold drilled to have a external gate flange mounted on.

I've been told by some honda-tech'ers to put it right in the center of the manifold where the collector is. Some peeps say to the side. I found two pictures here which shows it closer to runners 1 and 2.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Thanks!

honestly, i realy can't see it making a difference. i'm no guru, so i could be wrong, but all your doing is letting air packed intot he manifold bypass the turbo, so i can't really see it makig any difference what runner it's on. agian, just my thoughts.

the closer to the middle is better, because that is where everything merges (collects) together... But I know of tons of setups that run off 2 of the cylinders and works fine. Supposivly at higher boost levels, you can get some bad creep with it mounted to the side.. (supposivly)

Personally I would mount the ****** wherever will be easiest for a dump tube.

Center is the best. Go with option 2. You want your wastegate exit to be as symmetrical with your turbo as possible, and you want it to vent from all the cylinders as evenly as possible.

This is the reason that the cast-iron DRAG manifolds aren't that good, because they vent only from cylinder 4.
