Well I think my headgasket went last night.. Haven't got the head off to check it yet but it's almost off. I was going down the highway and the car started to miss a little bit so I stopped at the next off ramp to check it. The was white smoke coming from the exhaust. I just hope the block isn't cracked or somehting like that. Anyone ever see anything like that happen or is it usually just the gasket?

 

Are you sure its the headgasket? Ringlands usually break more than headgaskets

 

Yeah there's oil in the coolant. And the #1 cylinder had coolant in it. I almost got the head off so I'll know for sure soon..

 

If it's the HG it will usually be running hotter than normal when you see it start to smoke...if it didn't get hot, I would bet on ring lands...

 

probably the hg. it's no biggie, you should be running the same day you pull it. check the head for warpage, but it sounds like you didn't drive on it much. if it didn't overheat, then i'm sure it's ok. good luck
