is 8 psi ok for an stock 97 civic?
i'm new to boost.. but i think it all depends on how well the car is tuned. mainly that involves fuel amounts and timing... i'm not sure whatelse goes into tuning the setup..like i said i'm new

well first off, start doing research. lots and lots of research. what kind of condition is your engine in? leak ne coolant/oil? and what kind of engine managemant are you planning to run w/ your turbo setup? if you get a fmu ur car wont last long on 8 psi. i would suggest the hack/btm and dsm 450's.

8psi is not a problem, read through the forums we have tons of info here. Start peicing your turbokit, figure out how much money you want to spend, new turbo/used turbo, custom manifold/prefab manifold. What type of engine management? etc etc.
But as far as your main question, will your engine handle it, Yes, your clutch probably wont though
