i was thinking that too... but it says that it has a lifetime warranty. damn, i hate the fact that it is hard to tell if ---- from tv is useful or just a peice of ---- that you will end up throwing away .

I highly doubt it will be good for chipping ecu's, but I'm sure it would be perfectly adequate for doing quick solder jobs in the car.

For chipping ECU's I use this: Soldering Station I added a few extra's like ZIF sockets and 28 pin sockets (stuff you need anyway) to get the bill over $50 and got the free Multimeter. It's actually pretty decent for free. Check that site's main page for details.

that free bonus wire stripper is cheap, I bought one at the 99 cent store across from julio's house, it works pretty good, but once you use bigger wire it's harder to strip smaller wire because the bigger wire leaves indentions in the little gripper part.

that thing looks like a piece of ----.

either get a regular one and be sporting some solder wick (desoldering braid), get a nice adjustable temp soldering station, or get a portable butane powered torch. I have all 3, I used to work in a tv repair shop back in the day

Why don't one of you Grannys Buy the ****** and do a Review on it Those wire strippers look like the ones i bought from the Dallor store..lol

as for the stripper yeah its cheap not worth .50 cents
good for 18AWG to 24AWG. i broke mine on some 10awg Alternator wire you know the white one

http://www.moddershq.net/reviews.asp...2&pagenumber=1 here is a review of the tool
this guy bought one and used it.

it was Noted it was 100X easier to use to solder small PCB's hmmmmmm ECU chipping sounds like small PCB work

and its cordless another important issue. i don't know how many times that the cord or cable gets in the way.
even if you solder station its like tether ball with a hot poker on the end.

before you Grannys talk ---- do some research.

i don't like it becuase AA batterys..lol i want a Fuel rod shunt.. but the EPA get pissed if they figured out that i was dumping spent fuel rods in the trash.

thanx QuickCRX
