B16 ECU chiped out?
Um..........yea, my car is in the shop getting a moto swap right now, but I just bought a chiped out OBD0 B16 computer. And the problem is I pluged it into my friends LS and it started to break up at about 3500 RPM. Iam just wondering if, since it is a V-Tech computer on a none V-Tech moto and the fuel or something is set to high its breaking up. Or did I get stiffed? could someone please reply quickly so If the computer is bad I can find the guy and get my money back tomorrow.
P.S my friend has a S-AFC would the settings on that cause the computer to make the car break up? ANd no the car is not boosted.

Heh, not to mention you're running lean because the maps are made for a 1.6l, rather than a 1.8l.
I wouldn't suggest running that map anymore.
But, ya, you should be throwing some CELs.. Knock Sensor, VTEC, VTEC Oil Pressure.. yada yada yada..

im running the same thing in my ls.. car runs fine.. i really dont beat on it much.. redline's at 8000 i think..its not smart to take a ls that high.. but ya i do have a cel

The thing is Iam going to be running the ECu in a LS-Vtech setup. I was just testing the computer in my friends LS. I was just wondering if it is going to do the breaking up thing in my car because if so I cant use It, I have to break in my moto, and Iam sure if its breaking up, it cant be could for a brand new motor.
and also dont chiped out computers bypass all thoughs sensors?

your car shouldnt stumble like that even with those codes. When I chip ecu's I always check them in my crx to make sure they have been chipped right. A b16a ecu runs my zc no stumbling just very rich and gets alot of codes. If your car sounds like a dirt bike the ecu was chipped wrong or the eprom is bad.
