Default went to the track... results.... ok

I took my car out to the raceway this wednesday. Here are the results (I have the actually time slips, but have a slow cpu, so its easier to just type them.)

1/8' ... 9.945
MPH ... 74.82
1000' ... 12.764
1/4 ... 15.164
MPH ... 93.76

As for my setup. a quick run down.
95 civic coupe dx. z6 swap
greddy turbo kit at 4.8 psi
16" rims (lowered the psi to 30 psi when i ran the 15.1)
no headlight (also on the 15.1 pass)

I had problems launching. I launched at 3k (spun a lot) then 2500k (which bogged way down).

The next plan is to use the stock 14" rims with the street tires at 25 psi. After I try that I will see what the results are.

The track is the Norwalk Raceway Park. It is a low elevation and the temp was approx. 80-85 degrees.

Any ideas on techniques to improve on?

Slicks could help shave some time off those runs, but keep practicing with your launches until you get it pretty consistent and you feel comfortable. Sometimes it takes a little feathering of the gas or even the clutch to get it right.

Also up the boost (I'd say atleast 10 psi), and work on your reaction time. Pretty good, but could improve.

Feather the gas pedal you don't want to spin the tires all the way down the track. Try going half throttle right after you launch and don't let the tires spin.

thanks for the info guys. this was my first time at the track this year. last year i ran the car n/a at 15.9 (that was my best time).

I was used to dropping the clutch and not spinning too much.

I am going to turn up the boost with some larger injectors. (i am just looking for a good deal still)

the transmission is slowly going, but i have a replacement in the garage the clutch is strong enough too, it is a act xt00 with a streetlite flywheel (brand ----- yes, but got it from my friend for a good deal).

So, when you get bigger injectors you're going to get Uberdata right?

my crx with a d16z6 and a cam with bolt ons ran those same slips, but i couldnt launch cause my frame was fucked, causing horrible wheel hop... Best time was 15.2 at 92 mph... 2.5 60 foots, bleh. Just feather it off the line, done floor it. Those 16's should have plenty of traction.... Or try drag radials, not slicks, youll just break ---- with slicks...
