Default if some of you are worried about a draft.....

read the link below...its worth it.

http://www.military.com/NewsContent/...ml?ESRC=dod.nl

might not be a bad idea to enlist if you are worried, this is what happened before Vietnam. They tried to increase the military personel numbers, but no one enlisted, so they resulted to the draft. If you enlist, they will give you the GI Bill, possibly a bonus....
-a draft, you would get shot at, then a discharge, and thats about it.
-If you enlist, you can pick your job...pick something that will keep you somewhat safe. Be a mechanic or something like that. Then when you get out, you've been a mechanic on desiel vehicles for 4 years, who wouldnt wanna hire you for some decent pay?-plus you have a GI bill to furthur your edcuation. thats what Im doing. Im going to Wyo Tech in Oct of 2005, for 100% Free.

-draft, your gonna go to the front lines. You weigh out your options...

-Im a Marine. Ive been to Iraq. Been shot at, returned rounds, kicked some arab ***... Wanna know anything, ask me.

How much is 2+2?

Seriously though I doubt it will happen again, soon. I'm not really worried.

I'm a Navy Corpsman, and I know what sccaeg is talking about. Too bad they didn't send me to war, otherwise I would've come back with a Medal of Honor. Much respect to sccaeg...

A draft might happen but not likely.

The weapons that we have today is more advanced and technical that it will take some time to train alot of recruits.

5 months and counting for me. But see, unlike everyone else, I have no obligative service. Which means, when I'm out, I'M OUT FOR GOOD! Reservists can't even touch me after I get my discharge papers.

yeah I have 4 years after that as an 'inactive reserve' which means, if a draft goes on or if they need alot of my job, then I gotta go back. the likely hood of the MC needing alot of radio operators is unlikely. ( I probably shouldnt have said that)

This has been discussed many times, there isn't going to be a draft.

I'm pretty sure all veterans are eligible for the gi bill, my granddad got a degree a couple years back and he was drafted.

and my body is so riddled with drugs that the **** tester would get a contact high...hehe

It's only the liberals trying to scare us. Even if there was a draft, there are plenty of 18 year olds they could draft versus us in our mid-late 20s.
