cracked turbo??
I'm trying to put together a turbo kit, I got a garret T-3 turbo with an internal waste gate, when I took the waste gate off to clean the turbo up, I seen some hair line cracks, at the hold where the waste gate close's, than when I looked up in side the exhaust side of turbo I seen some more cracks, is this turbo shot? can they be welded. I don't think it would be a good Idea to put it on as is? should I look for another turbo? thanks guys

Ya, you can use it. It'll probably leak some exhaust but nothing you'll notice.. It'll probably get work. Drive it 'til it's broke!
As for the welding, it wouldn't be recommmended. It's cast iron, and apparently, Beau is the only guy who can weld to it.
