Or a sticker under a clearcoat? I've seen that before. It looks and feels it is raised to the car body, but because it has a clearcoat over it you would need to strip the clearcoat to get the sticker stripe out.
Check to be sure it is not painted or under the clearcoat

goto any automotive shop that sells paint and get a pinstrip removal tool (abot $10.00) They work great. I'll take a pic of one and post it here in a minute

I looked all over my garage for it and I couldn't find it. I'll nab another from work tomorrow. It's called a DRY eraser (I think) you chuck it in a drill and it takes off pin-striping and doesn't mess up the paint at all. I'm a bodyman by trade and we use them all the time. I'll get you a pic tomorrow. sorry for the delay

Ya I have used those pin stripe removers before too, throw the bitch in a drill and it comes right off, its basically a rubber wheel, that just rubs the stripe off. Or if you dont want to do that, just get a hair dryer/heat gun and it should come right up, but the glue will be left behind, get some "GOO GONE" at just about any store to remove that ----. Then throw a nice wax/buff job on it, and your good to go!
