It controls the air/fuel mixture not the ignition. Its just like an AFC except uncontrollable (with the AFC you can adjust the mixtures yourself, this regulates the same sensors, but automatically adjusts.) With an FMU you wouldn't need this 
Heh but I do need to get rid of it, its an inexpensive fuel management system, compatable with d-series ECU's (it might work with the B as well, but I don't have a wiring harness for one to check) and can handle up to 10 psi of boost with factory injectors. (Passed that you will need an AFC and larger injectors).

I would have to say that is a good deal. I just sold one for $187.50 shipped! Buy it! If he doesn't buy it, sell it on Ebay for twice that amount!
